UNIBEN Extends Post-UTME/DE Registration Deadline For 2021/2022 Session

The management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has extended the deadline for the application of the post-UTME/DE registration for the 2021/2022 academic session.The closing date earlier slated on the 12th November 2021 has now been extended to midnight 21st of November, 2021.

The Post-UTME examination will hold on 6th to 13th of December, 2021. Applicants that are yet to register are advised to do so before the closing date.

TASUED ANNOUNCES 12th CONVOCATION CEREMONY SCHEDULE

The management of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) has announced the schedule for its 12th Convocation ceremony for the conferment of Honorary Degree, Award of Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Higher Degree and Presentation of Prizes.

ABSU RELEASES 2021/2022 POST UTME SCREENING RESULTS

ABSU Post-UTME results for the 2021/2022 session have been released. All candidates who participated in the screening can proceed to check their results online.

Candidates are to follow the procedure below to check their results.

How to check ABSU Post-UTME Result

Go to ABSU portal at

https://portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng/Applicant/Screening

Select your programme and enter your name in the required columns and then click continue.

Finally, select your name from the drop-down list and enter Application Form PIN.

Click “Check” to view/print your ABSU post UTME Result.For the applicants who paid online through their cards, their invoice number also serve as their pin.

The final result is captured on average basis, in the ratio of 60:40 for JAMB UTME and ABSU screening test scores, respectively.

Kindly note that checking of the result is absolutely FREE.

BAYERO UNIVERSITY KANO, {BUK} RELEASES ADMISSION LIST ON SCHOOL PORTAL FOR 2021/2022 ACADEMIC SESSION

Following the recent Admission list rolled out by the Management of the Bayero University of Kano on the school Noticeboard few days ago.



This is to bring to the notice of the 2021/22 newly Admitted Applicants of the Bayero University of Kano (Buk)that the Authorities of the varsity had Commenced the Admission placement on School portal.

This was done in order for the newly admitted students to meet up with the 100 level students in regards to the commencement of Lectures.

Admission list pasted on the Institution notice board Are Enjoined to visit their Respective Portal on the school website to check their Admission status.

And input the required details (your UTME Registration number and the rest).

NB:Once you have Been admitted on the school portal,you Are mandated to upload your Olevel results on your Jamb caps within a week of being admitted.

UNILORIN STUDENT BEATS FEMALE LECTURER TO COMA, VC REACTS

A female lecturer of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin, Mrs Zakariyyah, who was beaten to coma on Thursday by a 400 level student of the institution, is now in stable condition and recuperating.

The student, simply identified as Captain Walz, reportedly attacked the lecturer in her office and assaulted her leading to severe injuries.

The Director of Corporate Affairs of the institution, Kunle Akogun, confirmed the development  in a text message to our correspondent on Saturday.

He said “a visit by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sulyman Age Abdulkareem, in company of the Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences, Professor Oladiji, the Director, University Health Services, Dr Odunola and a few other staff to the victim and her family, this morning, Saturday, confirmed that.”

The VC described the incident as sad and unfortunate, assuring that justice will be done on the matter.

He ordered proper care of the victim on the bill of the university.

The VC reiterated his commitment to the welfare of all staff and law-abiding students of the institution.

The student, according to reports, had sought the help of the assaulted lecturer, who is his project supervisor, because he did not observe the compulsory Students Industrial Work Scheme (SIWES).

According to the report, the student, allegedly entered the lecturer’s office and started banging her table, moved closer to her and started slapping her.

The lecturer tried to escape and he kept pursuing her, she ran into an office but Captain Walz broke the window and started punching her hard.

” In an attempt to escape, the lecturer fell down, sustained a head cut and was strangled by the student till she fell into coma,” our correspondent further gathered.

Captain Walz was arrested by the security personnel of the university and handed over to the Police.
